Over the past 12 months Barry Tanner and Associates (BTA) have been waterproofing and caulking the Bovis Lend Lease “Conder Apartments” project.
BTA have successfully made the critical areas of the project waterproof with their complete membrane systems. From the large landscaped and paved
areas, to the internals of the pool, BTA have applied a wide range of membrane systems to this project with the total confidence of the Bovis Lend
Lease team.
The landscape areas have been detailed and membraned using a double layer torch applied sheet membrane supplied by Parchem p/l. This system has
fully waterproofed the plaza area from paved areas to grassed areas and internally into the planter boxes. These areas are classified as critical
by Bovis as they area directly above the car park and some plant room areas. This torch-applied system has also been used above habitable areas
and on the entire roof area.
The internal area and the deck area of pool have been waterproofed utilising Adrex p/l Superflex membrane system. BTA and Ardex worked together
to come up with the best system and detailing to ensure the water tightness of the pools internal and surrounding areas.
BTA also installs caulking to many various projects and the Conder Apartments have seen BTA install over 3000 lineal meters of quality caulking
to the precast panels and k-panels over the entire project.
